Building a Youth Network of Progressive Grassroots Action

Change doesn't start in institutions, it starts in rooms where people show up, listen, and decide to act together. That's the idea behind our push to build a youth network rooted in progressive, grassroots action.

We believe young people shouldn't have to wait for a seat at the table to start shaping the future, they can create it in their own neighborhoods, and connect them to others doing the same. That's what a grassroots network means to us: not a top-down structure, but a web of local initiatives, open meetings, and shared ideas that grow stronger by linking up.

This network is for young citizens who want more than to be represented — they want to participate. It's a space for those who care about their city, their community, and the wider world, and who believe collective action is still one of the most powerful tools we have for change.

We're building this network on a few core principles:

• Openness — anyone can join, contribute, and help shape where we go next.
• Non-partisanship — we act independently of party lines, focused on issues and people, not political affiliation.
• Translocal solidarity — connecting local action across neighborhoods, cities, and borders, so isolated efforts become a shared movement.
• Co-creation — every initiative, publication, or campaign is shaped collectively, not handed down.

From open meetings to shared projects like our Participatory Youth Magazine, we're proving that this way of organizing works — that when young people are given real space to co-create, they show up, again and again.
